Ohio Police Officer Shot And Killed 15-Year-Old Girl With Knife A Columbus, Ohio police officer shot and killed a Black teenager Tuesday, according to body camera footage shown to the media. The 15-year-old girl was identified as Ma’Khia Bryant.

CNN reports that the video shows a teen quickly move toward another girl with what appears to be a knife, and the girl falls to the ground. The officer yells before the teen with the knife appears to lunge at a second girl. The officer shouts “Get down! Get down! Get down!” and then fires four shots. Columbus Mayor Andrew Ginther said at a news conference, “We know based on this footage, the officer took action to protect another young girl in our community.” A full investigation is underway.
