Wilberforce University President Announces HBCU Has Wiped Away Graduates’ Debt The President of Wilberforce announced the HBCU will wipe away the debt for the graduating class of 2020 and 2021. The amount is more than $375,000 in debt. At the conclusion of the graduation ceremony the President said, because you have shown that you are capable of doing work under difficult circumstances, because you have represented the best of your generation, we wish to give you a fresh start. Therefore the Wilberforce University Board of Trustees has authorized me to forgive any debt.
