Pharrell Williams is promoting his new Lego movie biopic, “Piece by Piece,” which traces his rise to fame in the music industry. The film, which Morgan Neville directed, examines Williams’ creative process and personal life, including his marriage to Helen Lasichanh and his collaboration with Chad Hugo. In a candid interview with the LA Times, Williams discusses his approach to parenting, creativity, and gratitude. He emphasizes the importance of humility and struggle in shaping his music and life.  “Entitlement is a problem because when things don’t work out, you fall apart. And because you haven’t struggled, you don’t know how to appreciate — you have zero coping skills. I never want to feel that again,” said Pharrell.

Pharrell’s “Piece by Piece” comes to theaters on October 11
