NBA, NFL Pay Tribute To George Floyd On One-Year Anniversary Of His Death The NBA and NFL are both paying tribute to George Floyd on the one-year anniversary of his death. The NFL released a special four-minute video featuring current players Justin Reid and DeMario Davis – along with retired great Doug Williams – reflecting on Floyd’s death and recent trial of Derek Chauvin. The NBA said Floyd’s death “inspired a movement for social justice”, adding “Today, and every day, members of the NBA family stand united in working for change and a future that provides true equality.”  Do you expect more Floyd tributes during tonight’s NBA playoff games?  How much have things changed in the year since Floyd’s death?
