Mariah Carey Wasn’t Always Sure About Making A Christmas Album

Mariah Carey enjoys being associated with Christmas because her song “All I Want for Christmas Is You ” is played every holiday season. The Grammy winner says she wasn’t sure about a Christmas record when her label suggested it. She recalls hesitating about her “Merry Christmas” album, which turns 30 this month. Carey explained that she was apprehensive about making a Christmas album at such a young age because historically, people made holiday songs later in their careers. Mariah added, “I was a little bit apprehensive and then I was like, “I love this.” And I decorated the studio and just had the best time.” Mariah has a Christmas tour planned for the upcoming season.
