‘Abbott Elementary’ Has Had the Largest Viewer Percentage Growth for Any New Comedy on ABC ABC’s Abbott Elementary is written, created and stars Quinta Brunson. The series is based on some of the real life experiences of Quinta’s mother who worked in the Philadelphia school district for many years. The show also stars Tyler James Williams (Everybody Hates Chris) and the legendary Sheryl Lee Ralph. Since the pilot episode back in December the show has quadrupled its ratings making it a first in the history of the network. The 30 minute weekly comedy is about a group of dedicated teachers and a slightly tone deaf principal who all work in a Philadelphia public school. Despite the odds against them they are determined to help their students succeed. The show airs Tuesday night at 9pm EST on ABC. Have you watched it yet? What do you think?
