Jordan Peele surprised Hollywood executives again when his new Horror film “US” grossed over Seventy Million this past weekend. That more than tripled the budget it cost to make the film. “US” features Kenyan actress Lupita Nyongo’o and Trinbagonian born (near Trinidad) actor Winston Duke as parents trying to fend of the terrifying killers who just so happen to look just like the couple and their two children. Peele’s first picture “Get Out” was critically acclaimed and made over 255 Million, thirty three Million on it’s opening weekend and Jordan Peele went on to win an Oscar for best Original Screenplay. So the pressure to follow up with another hit movie was on Jason to prove the first was not a fluke, clearly he proved it I had planned on seeing “US’ on it’s opening weekend but unfortunately this was also opening weekend for NCAA basketball games so I was home in front of my television from Thursday afternoon until the Ohio State Buckeyes lost last night about 11pm. There is a three day break from the Tournament so I plan on being in the theater tonight or tomorrow checking out this Thriller from Jordan Peele. Here is a little known fact for y’all – I have yet to see “Get Out”! No problem, I will see both “US’ and “Get Out” before Thursday’s tip off at 7:09pm between Gonzaga and Florida St!
