The 92.1 WROU Holiday Help Out Food Drive, Feeding Families for the Holidays
The Holiday Help Out is going on now thorugh November 20th, and 92.1 WROU is doing its part, partnering with Good Neighbor House to help feed families and others in need this holiday season. Non-perishable food items, personal care products and basic necessities can be dropped off at our community partner location, the Trotwood Fire & Rescue Station, located at 5469 Little Richmond Road (or any other Trotwood fire station). Click the map below for directions from your location. Donations of any type are appreciated, but during this holiday season the Good Neighbor House pantry is in particular need of:
- Canned goods (especially beans)
- Pasta sauce
Then, on November 18th, the real fun begins! Beginning Friday November 18th at 10 am WROU’s own Faith Daniels will begin broadcasting live from inside The Trotwood Fire and Rescue Station, LIVING AT THE FIREHOUSE for the entire weekend to collect food and greet listeners!
Our live broadcast will continue daily through 10am on the 20th! Because the firehouse is open 24 hours a day, you can drop off food and supplies any time of day or night…without even having to leave your car! The fire station doors
will be open, so you can simply drive through and donate!
Thanks to our community partners The Good Neighbor House, The City of Trotwood & Mayor Mary McDonald, all of the first responders at the Trotwood firehouses & collection sites, and to our sponsors TYRO and Bryan Heyward/Heyward Insurance Group for making it all possible.
