Dennis Edwards Passes Away, He Was 74

Dennis Edwards has passed away at the age of 74. The family confirms he was in Chicago at the time but did not confirm the cause of death

Edwards, who was born February 3rd, 1932 in Birmingham, Alabama and was singing in the Contours prior to the Temptations, joined when the group fired David Ruffin. He was young and vibrantĀ  and replaced Ruffin’s falsetto.
Soul-rock became the sound and began making music that heralded the social issues of the day.

Temptations rocked the charts of R&B and pop with crossover hits, “Run Away Child, Running Wild,” “Don’t Let the Jonses Get You Down,” “Psychedelic Shack and “Ball of Confusion (That’s What the World Is Today).”
