Pink Ribbon Driven Sponsors "The 92.1 WROU The Survivor Spotlight!"

Many people become more aware of Breast Cancer and the statics during October when everything TURNS PINK for the cause of saving women and men from breast cancer.

However, Janell Ross and The Bob Ross Auto Group and The Norma J. Ross Foundation make efforts all year long to raise awareness as Norma J. Ross, Janell's Mother, lost her battle to breast cancer in 2010.

The Norma J. Ross Youth Foundation and The Bob Ross Auto Group have sponsored "The 92.1 WROU Survivor Spotlight!" which is a wonderful way to acknowledge breast cancer survivors and remember those who have lost the fight to the terrible diease.

In addition to the annual fundraising the foundation does, the drive is on! Bob Ross Auto Group will donate $100 for every vehicle sold in the month of October to benefit the Norma J. Ross Youth Foundation! See the wonderful work that is being done to to fight breast cancer! Click HERE!

That's right, Michelle Obama is set to make an appearance in Disney's Doc McStuffins! As the story line goes, she will appoint Doc McStuffins the Official Toy Doctor of the White House in the episode "Doc McStuffins Goes To Washington!"

92.1 WROU Welcomes The Tom Joyner Morning Show's "Meet Every Listener Tour To Dayton!
Dayton's R&B Leader, 92.1 WROU announced today the nationally syndicated Tom Joyner Morning Show Tour, Sponsored by Five Rivers Health Centers, will be coming to Dayton on October 14th-15th.

Tom Joyner and the entire TJMS crew will arrive on Wednesday, October 14th for a free listener "Meet Every Listener" Happy Hour sponsored by the Bob Ross Auto Group from 5pm-7pm at Gilly's, 132 S. Jefferson St. Downtown. Doors open at 4pm. Tickets are free and a limited number will be given away at Zik's Family Pharmacy Saturday, October 10th from 10am-12 noon!

On Thursday, October 15th, the Tom Joyner Morning Show will simulcast nationally from the 92.1 WROU studios beginning at 6:00a.m

Following the live show, Tom Joyner, Sybil Wilkes and Jay Anthony Brown will attend a luncheon at Taste Creative Cuisine, 2555 Shiloh Springs Rd. in Trotwood. Doors open at 11am.

Magic Johnson and Smokey Robinson were among many of the celebrities that turned out of the premiere of ‘Whitney’ on Tuesday night.

The film marks a directing debut for Angela Bassett, who had worked with the late Whitney Houston. Unsurprisingly, family of Houston didn’t show up for the event due to their lack of involvement in the project and possibly due to the amount of criticism drawn from this biopic and Lifetime’s most recent, “Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B.”

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Chris Rock and wife of 19 years, Malaak Compton-Rock, are getting a divorce.

 "After much contemplation and 19 years of marriage, Chris and I have decided to go our separate ways," Malaak said via a statement according to People.

“It feels like New York City. It feels like magic, anything can happen. There’s a consistent theme there. That story of hope,” Jay Z said about the film Annie on the red carpet earlier this month. Jay Z helped in producing the film.

Will Smith, who also helped produce the film, said “Anytime you revisit a timeless story and that’s where you always wanna be able to add something different. Jay and Sia did a really brilliant job of creating that new sound, that new vibe and a new energy.”

The Carters are being sued by Hungarian artist Mitsou for having "sampled and digitally manipulated without her permission."

Court documents claim that her recording of the track "Bajba, Bajba Pelem" was used in the intro of “Drunk in Love” and throughout the first minute of the track. “Mitsou has never signed any documents that would permit anyone to use her voice for advertising or trade purposes,” the suit says.

Protesters, who have been in New York City since the decision not to indict the officers involved in the death of Eric Garner, were given food thanks to John Legend and wife Chrissy Teigen.

“A rep for the singer confirms to ETonline that Legend and Teigen hired several food trucks to pass out meals to demonstrators and New York City's homeless on Sunday,” reported ETonline.

Mariah Carey has been announced to perform at the 2014 "Christmas in Rockefeller Center".

“Mariah Carey, Prince Royce, Darius Rucker and the Rockettes will join the star-studded holiday special, ‘Christmas in Rockefeller Center,’ airing live from Rockefeller Center® in New York City on Wednesday, Dec. 3 (8-9 p.m. ET),” NBC Universal stated. “Carey will open the holiday program with a very special performance of her #1 smash hit ‘All I Want For Christmas is You.’”
