Now that Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger have been fired from “The X Factor,” it’s being reported that Mariah Carey andKelly Rowland may be replacing them as judges on the Fox singing competition show. Mariah Carey was rumored to be a part of season one, but that never happened. And Kelly Rowland was previously a judge on the U.K. edition of “The X Factor.”
Don Cornelius dead in apparent suicide

Soul Train creator Don Cornelius was found dead at his Sherman Oaks on home Wednesday morning. Police arrived at Cornelius' home around 4 a.m. He apparently died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Soul Train was the longest-running syndicated show in television history. Cornelius stopped hosting the show in 1993, and Soul Train stopped production in 2006.

Terrence Howard was ordered Tuesday to stay 100 yards away from his estranged wife after she claimed the Oscar-nominated actor repeatedly threatened and hit her during their marriage.

A cause of death has yet to be determined. Comedy Central will pay its respects to O'Neal by re-airing his stand-up special "Elephant in the Room" tomorrow night.
