Garth Adams

Greetings! My name is Garth Adams and I am the Afternoon On Air Talent for 92.1 WROU: Dayton’s R&B Leader.  Born & raised here, it's a joy to be a part Dayton's radio legacy.  After graduating from Jefferson HS in '83 (Go Broncos), I learned about broadcasting and DJing at Dartmouth College.  From there, I worked all over the country, from New England to Indianapolis.

In February 2008, I was able to return home and work for 92.1 WROU. It's always a privilege to work in your hometown, but even more so with Dayton. Dayton has always held a special position in the development of the R&B with groups like Roger and Zapp, Heatwave, The Ohio Players, Lakeside, Faze-O, Steve Arrington, Sun and Dayton.  We have a tremendous story to tell and a foundation to build upon.

I have been blessed and am honored that you include 92.1 WROU in your life. It’s a privilege to serve and entertain the Miami Valley region.

Thank you for your continued support of Dayton’s R&B Leader 92.1 WROU. This is your station!! Make sure you express yourself and let us know how we may serve you better!

Get ready to Walk

The 11th Annual African American Wellness walk is just afew weeks away. June 9th at Riverscape. It's always an exciting time because it's like a reunion. The biggest benefit of the walk is the exercise itself. It is amazing how our bodies stay fine tuned. The more we walk and exercise and eat healthy, the better equipped we are to live life. How ironic that the older we get, the more we miss recess and running around playing. Maybe gym teachers were just as important at Math and English teachers.
The beauty of exercise, it is never too late to begin. The beauty of the Wellness Walk, so many beautiful people gathered together to exercise and catch up on everything that has happened since last year. See you June 9th at RiverScape.
