$100 Million Lawsuit Against Ed Sheeran for Copying Marvin Gaye’s ‘Let’s Get it On’

A lawsuit has been filled against Ed Sheeran, claiming “Thinking Out Loud” copies from Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s Get it On.”

According to the lawsuit, “Thinking Out Loud” borrows the same melody, rhythms, harmonies, drums, bassline, and more from “Let’s Get it On.”

The lawsuit has been filled by Structured Asset Sales, a company that owns one third of the copyright to “Let’s Get it On.”  According to TMZ, no word yet if the Gaye family will also sue.
